Celebrating Life's Chapters: Cats, Great-Great Grandchildren, Books, and Mother's Day!

Hello, Everyone!

This May I'm 84 years old--way past my "sell by" date. Lucky for me I'm still on the shelf, though I've gone from this to this!

Life is still exciting, though. I've become a cat lover. A neighborhood feral cat slipped in my back door, settled in the cabinet under a bathroom sink, and had her babies. ​No way I could turn them out. Once the mama cat stopped nursing, she dashed outside, leaving me with two of her babies. Adorable creatures. Both are having their own 2nd birthday on May 8th. See pic above!

Other new babies in my life are gorgeous new humans, my great-great grandchildren. Can you imagine? I'm a Great-Great Grandmother!

As Mother's Day approaches, I can't help but reflect on the joy of family and the role of mothers in our lives. It's a time to celebrate the women who have shaped us, nurtured us, and loved us unconditionally. In many ways, it reminds me of Rachel, the strong, resilient character in my book The Sheriff's Woman. She faces challenges with courage and grace, much like the mothers we honor on this special day.

In closing, yes, I'm still driving, gardening, keeping house, and enjoying life. Hope you are, too.
