Telling you up front I’m older than God and younger than Death. Since I’m cruising my eighties, my daughter gave me a book: Sub-titled: Live Strong, Fit, and Sexy Until You’re 80 and Beyond. I don’t want to be sexy at eighty-one. What kind of fool notion is that? I just hope for ordinary functions…like waking up every day. I want a good hot cup of coffee first thing in the morning until my eyes are open to see if the sun is shining or if it’s raining. That’s a good start for me and you, too, whatever your age.
I used to toot around the earth by train, plane, and pickup. I’ve walked up mountains and fallen off the dang things–horses, too. I’ve lived in jungle villages and been lost in the Pacific Ocean.
Y’all know I’m a writer. Sometimes I don’t write for years on end, but when I feel the pull, I write, which brings me to today. I've had an idea for sometime. After reading Jerri Hines's books, I knew she was the one who could breathe life into a story, which was doing nothing but collecting dust bunnies.
So, there you are. The book my daughter handed me was right! I can live strong beyond eighty! And I'm not finished. I've been rooting through my desk, reading old notes to myself. I plan to produce books as long as God let's me hang around on Earth.
Make sure you grab this new release today, and then step back in time with Jerri and me, as we take you back to the forties, Appalachian Style.
